The educational tour gave our students a rare opportunity to step aboard a commissioned naval vessel, interact with officers and sailors, and understand how the Indian Navy protects India’s coastline and sea routes.
Guided by naval personnel, students explored different sections of the ship, observed navigation and communication equipment, and learned about life at sea, discipline, teamwork and courage in real defence settings. The visit to Khidderpore Dock not only connected classroom lessons on history, geography and civics with real‑world national security, but also inspired many young minds to dream about careers in the armed forces and public service from right here in Kolkata.
